More than 1000 people attened HND's conference

There were more than 1000 people that came from all over the states and other countries to participate HND’s conference in Appleton, Wisconsin on April 3, 4, and 5, 2009. The theme of the conference this year was “Building Partnership for Success”.
Maylee Vang, a student at University of Minnesota participated in a workshop called “Hmong Marriage”. She said, “I learned many things about Hmong marriage which I never knew. There are many processes that it goes through. I think it is very important to have this awareness for us and for the younger generation to know.”
Samuel Lee, a student from Minnesota also anxious to go to the Saturday workshops and hope to take something with him home. He said “this is my first year participated HND’s conference”.

Hnuchee Wanglue Vang, President of Hmong Student Association at University of Minnesota, also participated in the conference. She volunteered her time to help out as a facilitator for some of the workshops. She said “Conference like this give us, the younger generation awareness on who we are”.
